How do you choose the right pump?
Four questions that define the pump for your project.
What is the liquid?
The choice differs between clean water, dirty water and liquids carrying solids. Solids need pumps with wider passages.
What flow do you need?
Flow is the amount of liquid per hour, usually measured in cubic metres per hour.
What is the head?
This is the height the liquid must be lifted, plus losses in pipes and fittings.
How is the pump driven?
By electricity, a diesel engine or a PTO, depending on the power available on site.
